Welcome to Carebind. By accessing or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Carebind, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that apply to specific features. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Carebind is a family care coordination platform that helps families manage medications, appointments, tasks, and communication for elderly or dependent family members. The service includes:

  • Medication tracking and reminders
  • Family communication and care updates
  • Appointment scheduling and calendar
  • Task assignment and management
  • Care notes and journal

3. Account Registration

To use Carebind, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Enter false or misleading health information that could harm a care recipient
  • Share access credentials with unauthorised individuals
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the application
  • Use automated tools to access the service without permission

5. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Carebind is a care coordination tool, NOT a medical device or medical advice service. Specifically:

  • Carebind does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Medication reminders are informational only and do not replace professional medical guidance
  • Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions
  • In case of medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately
  • We are not responsible for medication errors, missed doses, or adverse health outcomes

6. Subscription & Payments

Free Plan

The free plan includes up to 2 care recipients, up to 3 family members, and core features. This plan is free forever with no credit card required.

Pro Plan

  • Billed monthly (£12/month) or annually (£99/year)
  • Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after 30 days
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Carebind — including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are the exclusive property of Carebind Ltd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of all content you create (care notes, messages, etc.). By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your family circle.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Fail to pay subscription fees (for paid plans)
  • Have not used the service for more than 12 consecutive months

You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carebind Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, health outcomes, or emotional distress, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Carebind Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice of material changes. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
